Process Based Design
Rainy Lehrman is an artist, designer and fabricator of objects both temporal and permanent. Often blurring the line between the hand-crafted, fine arts and mass-production, Lehrman integrates modern production methods and pushes traditional techniques through a deep understanding of materiality. She received her MFA in Sculpture from Pratt Institute in 2008 and her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2002 where she studied Furniture Design. Lehrman has taught at Pacific Northwest College of Art, William Paterson University, Pratt Institute and is currently teaching Woodworking and Furniture Design at Kean University.
